• Shipping & Delivery
• All orders are shipped via US postal services. For shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands, please contact us for shipping prices and shipping options. For shipping to international destinations, please e-mail us at services@luhyutea.com or call us 718-353-5632 for shipping prices and shipping options, since the exact price is not known until the exact address is provided. We are not responsible for any duty or additional costs levied by your local customs. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.
  
  There will be an extra surcharge ranged from $1 to $2.95 for shipping to certain states according to the shipping address proximity from our location. For order totaling $1-$100 the shipping and handling is $6.00. For order totaling $101-$249 the shipping and handling is $9.00. Order over $250, the shipping and handling is free. These shipping and handling charges are based on the merchandise total to each delivery address.



• Sales Tax
• Luh Yu Tea Emporium charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.
  
  No sales tax on tea. For other non-food items, if the order is shipped within New York State, the law requires that local sales tax be added to the order total including the amount of the shipping charge. If you have tax-exempt status, please make your order by phone, fax or E-mail.
  
  We do not collect tax for orders shipped outside of New York State. Purchases in our store are subject to an 8.875 % local sales tax.



• Return Policy
• We uphold strict policies on refunds and exchanges so please read the following carefully:
  
  Teas and tea samples are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, regardless of whether you have opened the package or not. Once the teas are shipped, we do not take back our teas. We do not believe that the returned teas are in saleable condition and therefore, this no-refund and no-exchange policy ensures that all of our teas are in its original state. We know that there are other vendors who would allow customers to exchange and refund their teas. We, however, are upholding this policy to protect our customers. We will only take back our teas if we make an error in your order, then we will refund 100% of your payment, including the shipping charges. If you simply do not like the teas or you change your mind about the teas, we do not give refund or give store credit in exchange. No exception. For this reason, we strongly encourage our customers to buy our tea samples first prior to buying the bulk teas. Please also keep in mind that teas are agricultural products and will vary in taste from season to season. Therefore, samples from previous season are not indicative of what we have in stock for the current season.
  
  For refunds or exchanges of teawares, we will accept any item that was purchased within 7 days of receipt. All returns and exchanges must be pre-approved by Luh Yu Tea Emporium. You may either email us or call us for a Return Authorization number. We will refuse any returns that are not pre-authorized. Luh Yu Tea Emporium will accept requests for returns or exchanges on any unused, resalable, new tewares returned in the original box with 7 days. Exchanges are subject to availability. You must pay all shipping charges. If the teawares are damaged during the shipping process, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of the merchandise. So please do open and examine the merchandise carefully upon the arrival of the package.
  
  Luh Yu Tea Emporium does not pay or reimburse the shipping charges incurred with the original sale, with the return, or with the exchange of Luh Yu Tea Emporium merchandise. All reship fees for the exchange orders must be paid within 10 business days or the order will be cancelled and a credit for the merchandise will be issued to the credit card used for initial purchase.
